One Year On - December 2025

It seems truly amazing that this time last year we announced we had to close your local radio station. We remember the many emails of dismay from our loyal listeners and their offers to support the station. Without that, and the support from a local business, as well as some kind donations and bequests plus members of our own team offering to take on more responsibilities, we would not be writing this, and your Seahaven FM airwaves would be silent after more than 15 years.

However, you rescued your radio station so the familiar ‘8 decades of great chart music’ and the stream of local information for your Seahaven FM area both continue.

Everybody at Seahaven FM enthusiastically joins me in thanking you so much. 

Over the last 12 months we have been energetically working at the radio station, in the community and with local businesses. New volunteers are providing specific skills in key areas.

On air, our programmes are gaining even more listeners, and we have more interviews with local people and with national artistes coming to perform at our local venues. The Seahaven FM team has been out at local events across East Sussex, and we continue to increase our activities in the local business communities where many more organisations are benefitting from the value of advertising locally on Seahaven FM.

We run this not-for-profit company to benefit the community and still need your support in these ever-challenging technical and financial times. 
You can help us in 2026 to:

• Maintain and increase the local content in our programmes (news, weather, travel, sport and events).
• Ensure that we are technically and financially resilient, so we can stay with you during the difficult times (extreme weather, cyber-uncertainties, illness and increasing prices).
• Launch a regular newsletter and our ‘Listeners Club’ to keep you up to date with everything about your radio station.

The regular donations from our loyal listeners are instrumental in Seahaven FM’s continuing success. Please join our supporters in 2026.
