Dave Stringer - Local Sports Reporter

After 40 years in the Oil & Gas Industry (in multiple roles that included travelling the world to provide training programmes, Mapping Product Management & Customer support) Dave retired in 2020, moving to Seaford in 2021.

Dave has always been a keen sportsman, playing football and cricket to a good standard. These days Golf and Gym attendance scratch the sporting ‘bug’.

Dave joined Seahaven FM as Local Sports Reporter in the spring of 2026, compiling fixtures and results material for local Football, Rugby, Cricket and charity sporting events.

Dave is also an active volunteer for the NCI (National Coastwatch Institution) in Newhaven. His other interests include reading maritime fiction & non-fiction books as well as being a keen gardener.
