Seahaven FM Project '24 – Celebrating 18 Years of Community Connection

Dear Seahaven FM Supporter,

In January 2024, Seahaven FM will mark a significant milestone – 18 years of unwavering dedication to fostering community connections in East Sussex. For nearly two decades, your local radio station has been the heartbeat of our area, providing a platform for local voices, diverse music, essential information, and support for many local causes and charities.

We take immense pride in how far we've come since starting out in January 2006. It's been almost 20 years of shared moments that have strengthened the fabric of our community.

As we reflect on our successes, we recognise the need for growth and enhancement to ensure we continue serving you with the quality and commitment you've come to expect.

It's important to acknowledge the integral role that our original equipment has played in Seahaven FM's journey. While this equipment has served us admirably for almost two decades, it's now reaching the end of its useful life.

Technical advances in recent years have transformed the broadcasting landscape, and our current studio equipment, though reliable, is now outdated. Upgrading our equipment is not just a necessity it's also a strategic move to embrace these advancements, ensuring that Seahaven FM remains at the forefront of cutting-edge community broadcasting.

We are calling the appeal Project '24. Your support will enable us to make this vital transition, ensuring the sustainability and relevance of Seahaven FM for years to come. Together, let's bridge the gap between our solid history and an even brighter future.
Such a description wouldn't be complete without acknowledging the continuous commitment and support of the loyal volunteers who make our broadcasts possible.

As a not-for-profit organisation, Seahaven FM is totally reliant on the presenters and behind the scenes folk who give so freely of their time and their enthusiasm. An upgrade will also justify their efforts through the good times and the challenges of recent years.

To achieve our target, we are thrilled to announce that we are launching Project '24 – a visionary initiative aimed at upgrading our studio equipment, undertaking essential mast improvements, and improving the quality of our broadcasts. Our goal is to raise £25,000 to propel Seahaven FM into a new era of community broadcasting excellence.

Here's where you come in. Your generous contribution will not only sustain Seahaven FM but also take us to greater heights. Together, we can invest in the future of community radio, fostering inclusivity, promoting local talent, and ensuring that Seahaven FM remains the vibrant voice in our part of East Sussex.

Your support is crucial in making Project '24 a reality, so please give what you can and spread the word so others can join in. The upgraded studio equipment will empower our dedicated volunteers to create even more engaging and diverse content. The mast improvements are vital to enhance our broadcast reach and reliability, ensuring that every corner of our community can tune in and benefit from the informative and enriching programmes we offer.

Join us in celebrating 18 years of Seahaven FM and be a part of shaping its future. Your support makes a difference, and every pound brings us one step closer to our £25,000 target. Together, let's continue weaving the tapestry of community through Seahaven FM.

Donate today and, each day as you listen to Seahaven FM, you can be proud to know that you have played a part in helping us grow and develop as a trusted voice in your area.

Sincerely,
Nick Mallinson
