Norman Baker

Norman Baker

Norman Baker has had a passion for music and has been collecting records since he was 12 when singles were 8/6d. His first LP was Abbey Road, bought the week it was released.

He spent a few years working for Our Price Records, ending up as Regional Executive Director by 1983. His time in the music business opened his eyes and ears to many new kinds of music.

He gained a national profile as the local Member of Parliament (MP) for Lewes in East Sussex, from 1997 until 2015, and served as a minister in the coalition government.

He formed a band, The Reform Club, in 1993 and between 2013 and 2019 issued three albums and one EP of original songs, the most successful of which was Piccadilly Circus (watch on youtube).

He was one of the original presenters on Seahaven FM, joining back in 2008 and has been on air even since. He currently presents two radio shows, 'The Hidden 60s' and 'Ain't Nothing But The Blues'.
